Careflow
A clinic operations platform that ties together patients, appointments, prescriptions, billing, and staff under one roof.
About the project
Careflow is the operating system for a small medical practice. It pulls the scattered, stressful parts of running a clinic — the appointment book, the patient histories, the prescriptions, the billing, the staff rota — into one calm place so the people at the front desk and in the consulting room can spend less time fighting software and more time with patients.
The problem it solves
Small and mid-sized clinics rarely have the budget or the patience for enterprise hospital systems, so they end up stitching their day together from a paper diary, a spreadsheet, a separate billing tool, and a lot of memory. Things fall through the cracks: a double-booked room, a prescription that never made it onto the invoice, an insurance claim that quietly expired. Careflow is built to close those gaps without demanding a months-long rollout or a dedicated IT department.
What you can do with it
Front-desk staff book appointments against the right practitioner, room, and service in a calendar that understands the clinic's real constraints — working hours, room availability, and the natural length of each kind of visit. Clinicians pull up a patient's history, write a prescription, and have the related charges flow straight into billing. Practice managers see the schedule, the outstanding invoices, and the shape of the week without exporting anything.
Everything in a clinic depends on something else — an appointment needs a patient, a practitioner, a room, and a service; a prescription belongs to a visit and turns into a bill. Careflow models those connections faithfully, so the system reflects reality instead of forcing staff to bend their day around rigid forms.
Who it's for
It's for the independent clinic and the growing group practice — the kind of place where the receptionist, the nurse, and the doctor all touch the same system through the day and none of them has time to learn a complicated one. The whole design leans toward clarity: obvious next actions, sensible defaults, and a calendar that's pleasant to live in for eight hours a day.
Where it is today
Patient management, appointment booking, and prescriptions are working. The billing module is live and still growing — insurance claims and partial-payment flows are the next pieces to mature. Staff scheduling and a proper reporting layer are on the way. Careflow began life as a client proposal and is steadily becoming the dependable, everyday backbone a small practice can actually trust.
